#1 KEEP A CHECK YOUR WATER LEVEL & BASKETS
If your water level has dropped below the middle of your skimmer box, it’s time to top it up with the trusty garden hose. Filling it to halfway up your skimmer box, emptying your baskets regularly and replacing the filter sock occasionally will ensure efficient water flow and circulation, which helps your filter remove impurities.
#2 QUICK FILTER CHECKUP
To help keep your water clear all year round, check your pool filtration system is operating optimally. A pool of average size should run for 6-8 hrs per day in the summer, and 4hrs per day during the winter months.
Just like a vacuum cleaner there will be build-up of waste in your filter after a while which will affect the flow, which in turn can lead to cloudy water and algae outbreaks!
